Tinkerbell Cake

This cake was for adorable Iza's 3rd birthday.  The bottom tier was a vanilla cake with chocolate mousse filling.  We iced it in a light green buttercream and then sprayed a darker green on the bottom half for an ombre effect.  We added a grass border along the bottom.  The top tier was vanilla cake with strawberry filling.  We iced it in yellow buttercream and then sprayed orange around the top half.  We piped a dot border along the top and bottom.  We piped swirls and dots around each tier.
Finally, we added fondant mushrooms and flowers of all types and colors all over the cake.  Also we added Tinkerbell and her fairy friends around the cake.  All the flowers and mushrooms we pearlized to give the cake some fairy dust.

Banana Split Cake & Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes

This cake was for my cousin Paige's birthday.  We used oval shaped pans to make the bowl shape cake.  Once it was covered in fondant, we sprayed it pink and purple to give it a whimsical look.  We added white polka dots and her name.  I made large cake balls for the ice cream scoops which were covered in fondant colors of: pink for strawberry, white for vanilla and brown for chocolate.  We used chocolate candy melts for the chocolate syrup and then for the whipped cream, I piped frosting and used sprinkles all around. We made two fondant bananas and a cherry as the finishing touches.

We also make these adorable cupcakes.  These cupcakes were vanilla with a chocolate mousse filling.  We put them in these cute ice cream cups.  I topped them with vanilla frosting to look like whipped cream.  Then added chocolate candy melts to look like chocolate syrup.  They were topped off with sprinkes and a red M&M to resemble a cherry.

Dawn's Baby Shower Cake

This cake was for Dawn's baby shower.  It was a total surprise to her.  The theme was safari to go with the baby's room decor.  This cake was a lot of fun.  Heather, who is Dawn's sister-in-law, helped with the cake.  The top tier and the bottom tier were vanilla cake with a raspberry chambord filling and white chocolate buttercream.  The middle tier was chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and icing.  Heather made the amazing figures of Dawn and Marcelo sitting on top of the cake.  I made the fondant animals, which were a lion, giraffe, monkey and elephant.
On the top and bottom tiers, we covered it in a green fondant onto which we added circle cutouts in a range of browns and bieges.  The middle tier was covered in a beige fondant.  Then in brown fondant, we applied square and rectangle cutouts.  I really think this effect came out amazingly.  To finish out the details we made small balls of fondant in contrasting colors to put around each tier.  Dawn loved her cake.

DragonBall Z Cake

This cake a bit of a challenge since we really did not know much about Dragonball Z.  The bottom tier, we covered in blue fondant and the added lightening bolts and the happy birthday message.  On the top, we covered it with red fondant and we added little blue stars and the Dragonball Z logo.  Then we covered a large styrofoam ball half with yellow fondant and red stars and placed a figurine on top.

We added the rest of the figurines around the cake and we covered nine little styrofoam ball halfs with yellow fondant and the added small red stars on each.  The finishing touch was black icing border around all the tiers and outlining the logo so it can stand out.

60th Anniversary Cake

This cake was for a 60th Wedding Anniversay.  The two tiers of the cake were both vanilla cake with chocolate mousse filling.  After covering the cake in buttercream, we added a rope border to both tiers and added a simple rope draping on the bottom tier.  Around the bottom of the top tier, we made red rosettes and added a silver dragee in the center of each.
We piped many roses to put in the middle of the cake.  We also added 2 to the top of the cake.  In the center of the bottom tier, I piped out a heart and then topped it with red and white rosettes and then placed a silver dragee in the center of every other rosette.

Jungle Cake

Hi all!!! Finally, things were so busy that there was no time to post.  This cake was for my little cousin's birthday.  The tiers of the cake were both red velvet with a delicious cream cheese icing.  I molded Jake's name with red fondant and gum paste and then inserted lolli-pop sticks into the bottom of the letters so they can dry.  The top tier was covered in blue fondant and the sprayed with blue coloring to give it a bit of dimesion.  The bottom tier was covered in green and then also sprayed green.

We cut out palm trees and blades of grass using fondant.  We used some green coloring on the glass and leaves to give it dimension.  We also rolled brown fondant into little coconuts which we then attached to the palm tree leaves.  Also, we used green icing to pipe grass around the bottom of both tiers.  I bought little animals to put around the cake.  I added a giraffe, lion, gorilla, tiger, leopard, hippo and zebra.  We made little red snakes also.  The finishing touch was the plaque with Happy Birthday in the center of the cake.

Robot Cake

Hi everyone, its been awhile since we had a cake to make so it was very exciting to get back into the swing of things.  This cake was a chocolate cake with a raspberry filling, such an awesome combo.  Once the robot was covered with fondant, we added screws and little gadgets then we sprayed it with a pearl mist to give it a metal look.

On the bottom tier, we covered the cake in red fondant and then added green strips of fondant for a playful look.  On the strips, we added silver sugar beads to give it a more dimension.  We cut out gears which we colored silver and added the name over it.  The top tier was covered in blue fondant and we added silver screw heads and finally we piped a border around both tiers to finish the look.  It was a very fun cake.

Toy Story Cake

This cake was really cool.  The bottom tier, we covered in green fondant to look like grass.  We cut out varying sizes of brown fondant to resemble wood planks which then we brushed with brown color to give it a weathered look.  Then we piped green grass along the bottom edge.  We made an Etch-a-Sketch with Dylan's age on it.  Then framed it with Woody and Rex.
On the center tier, we covered it in blue fondant so it looked like the night sky.  Then we twist brown fondant to resemble rope to connect both tiers and we put Jessie on top.  We attached yellow stars in different sizes and the birthday boy's name.  On the top of the cake, we covered a piece of cake with a grey marbled fondant so it looked like a moon rock.  We made many white fondant balls to give Buzz Lightyear a flying feel.
